An original production cel from the Disney Studios live-action and animated film "Song of the South" (1946). Featuring Br'er Fox dressed as a Chef while grasping a large stick with Br'er Rabbit tied to it for cooking, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. Measuring 10"x12" overall, with the character image measuring 6.75"x7.75", the cel is in very good condition with minor age-related discoloration and warping, a slightly creased top left corner, and adhesive residue near the corners. The cel has likely been restored by a previous owner, resulting in a very light "film" around the edges of the characters. The piece has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for presentation purposes.
