A vintage ceramic figurine inspired by the Disney Studios live-action film "Rascal" (1969). Featuring “Rascal” the raccoon, the figurine was made by Canadiana Pottery of Ingleside, Ontario, Canada, out of red clay from the Collingwood region, and a drip design glaze. Figurines were licensed through a contract with Alfred Dube, who founded Canadiana Pottery in the 1960s after leaving Blue Mountain Pottery. Alfred Dube was able to obtain licensing for production of Disney-themed items. Canadiana Pottery then produced figurines of animals based on the "True-Life Adventures" nature documentary film series. Fourteen full-length and short-subject films were produced by Walt Disney Productions from 1948 to 1960. Measuring 3"x4.75" and 4.5" tall, the figurine is in good condition with light wear from age and a small chip visible on the tail.
